Construction will close part of State Street in downtown Boise for 2 months, ACHD says
Construction projects will close portions of two major Boise streets beginning this week, the Ada County Highway District announced in a news release Monday.
The larger of the two projects will affect State Street in downtown Boise between 2nd and 4th streets, and could last until late October, the agency said. It will reconstruct the roadway, update pedestrian ramps and add “enhanced pedestrian crossings” that include push buttons for cyclists at State and 3rd.
ACHD encouraged commuters to use Washington and Jefferson streets as detours around the closure.
The agency also said a portion of Ustick Road in West Boise will be closed starting Tuesday for utility work. The small closure will affect Ustick Road between Kelly Way and Ustick Circle east of the Cole Road intersection. ACHD encouraged commuters to use Fairview Avenue as an alternate route.
The Ustick project is expected to be done quickly, finishing up next week.
