The missing 10-year-old boy who was last seen in West Boise has been found.

Innocent was found about 2.5 miles from his elementary school by a member of the community, according to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, from the Boise Police Department. Police initially posted at around 5:30 p.m. looking for the boy, who was last seen near Morley Nelson Elementary leaving school.

The school is near the intersection of West Northview Street and North Cole Road.

Police said Innocent may have gotten lost trying to walk home because he’s new to the area.

“Thank you for keeping your eyes open and sharing the message,” the department said in the updated post.
