Juvenile killed in train collision in Payette County; Idaho State Police investigate
One person was killed in a train crash Wednesday afternoon in Southwest Idaho.
A juvenile was driving a Mazda east on Northwest 10th Avenue in Payette County and failed to yield to an oncoming train, according to Idaho State Police. The train struck the vehicle near the Washoe Road intersection.
The juvenile, who was not wearing a seat belt, died from their injuries at the scene, police said.
Idaho State Police are investigating the incident. Officials have not released the victim’s name.
