Canyon County three-vehicle crash kills Boise motorcycle driver, hospitalizes another

A three-vehicle crash in Canyon County left one person dead and another in the hospital.

A 46-year-old man from Boise was driving a motorcycle east on U.S. Highway 20/26 when he collided with a Toyota heading south on Midland Boulevard about 2:23 p.m. Friday as it proceeded past a stop sign and through the intersection, according to an Idaho State Police news release.

The Toyota, driven by a 78-year-old man from Middleton, then sideswiped a Jeep driven by a 74-year-old man from Caldwell heading north on Midland.

The motorcycle driver, who had been wearing a helmet, died from his injuries at the scene. First responders drove the Middleton man by ambulance to a local hospital, according to police.

State police did not release the names of those involved. The intersection was blocked for about three hours. IPolice said they were continuing to investigate.
