New government jobs based in Boise pay over $80K a year. Some positions can be remote

The state of Idaho is hiring for numerous full-time positions across several departments that pay at least $80,000 per year, including benefits such as health care, retirement plans and paid leave. Some of the positions also offer the opportunity to work from home.

Director – Division of Justice Services

  • Salary: $120,000 - $138,209 annually

  • Type: Full time

  • Summary: The director will support and lead the development, operations and improvement of statewide court programs and services. Some of these services include community sentencing alternatives, child protection, guardianships and juvenile justice.

Deputy Controller – Administrator Division of Computer Services

  • Salary: $110,000 - $135,000 annually

  • Type: Full time

  • Summary: The deputy controller will oversee 40-plus employees within the Computer Service division, including multiple bureau chiefs within the division. The deputy controller will also monitor and approve all budget-related activities and set policy and strategic goals for the office.

Deputy Attorney General – Central Office

  • Salary: $110,000 - $115,000

  • Type: Full time, remote options available

  • Summary: Working through the Office of the Attorney General, this position will primarily support the Department of Health and Welfare Division of Family and Community Services. Duties include providing advice and counsel to DHW employees based on federal and state law regarding child protection, foster care, adoption and other areas.

Deputy Attorney General – Civil Litigation and Constitutional Defense Division

  • Salary: $95,000 - $110,000 annually

  • Type: Full time, remote options available

  • Summary: This position will see the deputy attorney general represent the state in state and federal courts in high-profile civil rights and constitutional claims, class actions, tort claims, statutory matters and multi-state litigation.

Legal Counsel – Legislative Services Office

  • Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 annually

  • Type: Full time

  • Summary: The person in this role works closely with majority and minority leaders of the Senate and House, individual legislators and legislative staff offices to guide on legal issues, respond to public records requests, and conduct research upon request from any committee.

Executive Director – Domestic Violence Council

  • Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 annually

  • Type: Full time

  • Summary: The director collaborates with the Domestic Violence Council to identify, create and implement plans to further the council’s mission and ensure that victims of violent crimes have access to services. The role is also responsible for developing and utilizing available data to inform decision making and ensure limited resources are best utilized to sustain the statewide availability of victim services.

Lead, Platform, Solutions and QA – Idaho Supreme Court

  • Salary: $79,013 - $86,914 annually

  • Type: Full time

  • Summary: This position is also responsible for delivering, managing and improving the IT Service Management processes. They also lead a team of IT professionals who work to manage application platforms, problem management and test functions for technologies and applications to be implemented in the Idaho Courts’ production environment.

IT Software Engineer III – Idaho State Board of Education

  • Wage: $36 - $40.85 hourly

The person in this role is responsible for analyzing, developing, testing and maintaining web applications and services.
