Update: 23-year-old pedestrian hit by vehicle identified by Ada County coroner

A pedestrian died one day after being hit by a vehicle in West Boise.

The woman was identified as 23-year-old Jestine Burt, according to a report from the Ada County Coroner’s Office on Monday. The Homedale resident died from blunt force injuries and her death was ruled an accident, the coroner’s office said.

Evidence indicated a vehicle heading north on North Cloverdale Road hit a woman crossing the street, according to a Boise Police Department news release.

Boise police responded to the scene at 11:53 p.m. Saturday.

Burt was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, then died Sunday. No one else was injured.

Police were investigating and had not filed charges as of Sunday afternoon.
