A pedestrian died Thursday 10 days after being hit by a vehicle in Boise.

The man was walking west under the overpass at South 16th Street near West Front Street when a vehicle traveling south on 16th Street hit him at about 5.45 p.m. on May 1, according to a news release from the Boise Police Department.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries, and police said he died at the hospital on Thursday.

Boise police, with the department’s crash reconstruction team, continue to investigate the incident. No charges had been filed as of Thursday afternoon.

The Ada County Coroner’s Office will identify the victim after his next of kin has been notified.
