Spooky season is officially here, and for kids across the Treasure Valley, that can mean only one thing: Dressing up and taking to the streets on a mission to gather candy from strangers’ doors.
The concept of walking up to a random person’s front door and asking for candy sounds a bit weird, even if it has been done across the world for decades. But in recent years a new option has emerged: trunk-or-treat.
Imagine tailgating, except instead of burgers and brats, it’s candy and snacks.
Trunk-or-treat events have become popular in recent years, allowing people and event organizers to gather in one centralized location while still offering the same trick-or-treat experience.
The Treasure Valley has a fair share of trunk-or-treat events happening this year. Check the map below to see when a trunk-or-treat event is happening near you, or scroll below the map to see events and hyperlinks by city.
