American drivers have seen some small relief in gas prices in recent weeks. There was a 16 cent decrease in the price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas since this time last month, according to AAA.

The same can’t be said for Idaho.

The average price of gas in the Gem State was nearly $4.41 as of Tuesday afternoon, according to data from AAA. That’s about 6 cents per gallon higher than this time last month in the state.

Compared to the current price of unleaded gas nationwide, which sits at $4.10, Idahoans are paying 31 cents more per gallon.

But no state’s gas prices are as high as California’s, where drivers are paying $5.70 per gallon. That is an improvement from the $5.84 they were paying a month ago. Idaho ranks ninth in the nation for the costliest price of gas while Georgia boasts the cheapest price at $3.71 per gallon.
