Boise rental costs keep rising. See prices for your zip code with this interactive map
Boise is among the 44% of U.S. housing markets where it makes more sense to rent a property than buy one, according to housing and property data provider ATTOM, but that doesn’t mean that rental prices are going down in Ada County.
Rental prices in Boise increased by 1% in the last month, according to listing service Apartment List. Apartment List also noted that Boise has seen a 14.2% increase in rental prices between March 2021 and March 2022. Boise’s increase lags behind Idaho’s yearly increase of 15.7% and rent growth for the nation of 17.1%
And according to data compiled by rental and housing data provider RentHub, looking beyond Boise and into Ada County as a whole, rental prices have seen a hike of 14.4% from March 2021 to March 2022. That figure includes rentals not only for Boise but for other locations in the county such as Meridian and Garden City.
The following interactive map uses data from RentHub to calculate the median rent and percentage change for Boise-area zip codes from March 2021 to March 2022. Data is not available for all zip codes.
