These downtown Boise streets will be closed for Treefort; free shuttle options available
The Treefort Music Fest will take over downtown Boise in just a couple of days, transforming the regular hustle and bustle of downtown into a music paradise from Wednesday to Sunday.
But with so much going on downtown, Treefort also can create a headache for drivers trying to commute through the city.
Starting Monday, Grove Street will be closed from 11th to 14th streets, and 12th Street will be closed from Main to Front streets. Both of these roads are expected to reopen early Tuesday, March 29.
Broad Street from 5th to 6th streets will also be closed starting Thursday for Boise Brewing’s music venue. The street is expected to reopen Saturday evening.
The Treeline Shuttle
Although the road closures may cause an unexpected dilemma for drivers, those attending the festival have no need to fret. Anyone attending the festival can use their Treefort wristband to ride any Valley Regional Transit bus for free for the duration of the festival.
Valley Regional Transit will also be running its Treeline shuttle throughout downtown from Wednesday to Saturday, which will be free to use for festival-goers.
The shuttle runs on Main and Idaho streets between 3rd and 14th streets and runs from 6 p.m. to midnight on each of the days listed above. Many of the shuttle trips, which run every five minutes, will have live music performed on the bus.
Masks are mandatory for riding any Valley Regional Transit bus, including the Treeline shuttle.
