The Redeemed Christian Church of God, The Ambassadors Boise was holding Sunday service when people heard a strange sound coming from the bathroom, witnesses told the Idaho Statesman. Inside, they discovered that part of the roof had collapsed and water was pouring out.

Out of concern that more of the roof could collapse, the 15 people present evacuated the building and police and fire have responded.

A church member called emergency services at 12:15 p.m. and about 11 units arrived.

Police and witnesses confirmed no one was injured. Police believe a burst pipe may have caused the incident.

The Redeemed Christian Church of God, The Ambassadors Boise holds services in a small building at 3925 W. Overland Road in Boise near the Hillcrest Country Club.

The church has a large online following, with 7,935 Facebook followers. The majority of followers watch services by tuning in to the social media site, where the services are streamed live, according to church leader Bolanie Ekpenkhio.
