Driver rolls car while getting on I-84 near Meridian; State Police investigation under way

Idaho State Police say they are investigating a single-vehicle crash near Meridian.

At 5:23 a.m. Sunday, a driver heading west in a BMW X1 on Interstate 84 went off the freeway while taking the on-ramp near milepost 45.4 in Ada County, according to the state agency.

The vehicle left the road, hit a jersey barrier (a movable, modular barrier to guide traffic) and rolled, police said.

A 19-year-old man from Pasco, Washington, was driving the car. Police reported that he was wearing a seat belt. He was taken by ambulance to a hospital.
