Creation during coronavirus: Idaho artists showcase their work this week
After distributing grants for coronavirus-related art projects, the COVID Cultural Commissioning Fund is holding an art showcase this week. It started on Tuesday and continues through Sunday.
Dozens of artists will hold a preview showcase after being given grants by the CCC Fund, which was created in part by Treefort Music Fest, the Morrison Center and the city of Boise.
Artists used the grant money to create pieces of art relating to their experiences during the coronavirus outbreak. The showcase is just a preview of the full event featuring all 69 people awarded grants.
Events will take place throughout Boise, as well as other locations in Ada County, including the Greenbelt near Esther Simplot Park and the Boise Whitewater Park. Art displays can be found throughout downtown Boise, such as at City Hall, Idaho Made and JUMP.
