Boise Police locate Idaho woman who was last seen Sunday, reunite her with family

After searching since Monday, police located a 54-year old Idaho woman Wednesday night who had not been seen since Sunday and returned her to family.

Boisean Beatrice Nyabenda, who is about 5 foot 3 inches tall, was reported missing Monday morning by her family, according to a BPD news release.

Nyabenda left her home near E. Boise Ave. and S. Apple St. on Sunday afternoon at around 3 p.m. and went missing. Police said she was last seen wearing a green and white dress. Nyabenda was known to frequent an Albertsons grocery store at 909 E. ParkCenter Blvd. in Boise.

The department announced in a news release Wednesday night that Nyabenda had been found and was safe. The department thanked the public for spreading the word and submitting tips to law enforcement.

Boise patrol officers, detectives and the department’s refugee liaison assisted with the search.
