Residents displaced after Boise house fire on Thursday, 2 dogs died, crews say

A west Boise home caught fire on Thursday evening after a resident reportedly attempted to use the fireplace, according to the Boise Fire Department.

The residents of the home in the 6800 block of Grunder Street escaped, but two dogs died in the fire. Boise Fire reported that there was heavy damage to the on the Central Bench home, which caught fire around 8:30 p.m.

The Boise Burnout Fund is assisting the residents.
