Water leak delays Simplot headquarters opening

Construction workers discovered a leak in a water pipe Friday in Downtown Boise's Simplot World Headquarters building, said Josh Jordan, spokesman for the J.R. Simplot Co.

The company was scheduled to start moving into the new building this week and finish in late January, Jordan said, but the leak has delayed the operation. A new schedule has not been finalized yet, he said.

Crews are now trying to determine how much damage the leak caused. Jordan said Monday he was not aware of any structural damage.
