Boise’s Main Library on Saturday welcomed more than 8,000 comic enthusiasts during its Library Comic Con, according to Boise Public Library spokeswoman Joanne Hinkel.

The event included Pokemon and superhero programs, various panel discussions, on-site gaming and, of course, a whole host of costumed attendees.

Attendees could also take in a robot battle, check out a massive Lego display and participate in the Comic Con costume contest. In addition, the nearby Artist’s Alley featured more than 60 comic creators who sold their work and mingled with fans.
