A 22-year-old man is in stable condition after suffering a stab wound to the chest at a house party in the 4800 block of McGee Avenue early Saturday, according to a press release from the Caldwell Police Department.

CPD says officers were dispatched to a disturbance at a house party around 1:50 a.m., where witnesses said multiple people were fighting and “throwing beer bottles” outside of the home and in the street. When police arrived, they found the man in the front yard with an “apparent” stab wound, according to the release.

The man was taken to the hospital and was listed as “stable” later Saturday morning, CPD said. An unidentified second man was allegedly injured but left before officers arrived, according to officials.

CPD is seeking public help in identifying two suspects from the party: one man described as tall, thin and Hispanic, and another described as short, stocky and Hispanic. Both men are in their late teens or early 20s and left the scene of the party in “an older model gray passenger car.”

Police would like to speak to anyone who was a witness or may have attended the party. Call Canyon County dispatch at 454-7531 or CPD at 455-3115 with any information.
