All lanes of I-84 open after fatal multiple-vehicle crash
Eight vehicles were involved in a crash that sent multiple people to the hospital and left at least one person dead, according to an Idaho State Police press release.
Storms whipped up winds around milepost 191 on Interstate 84 around 8:30 p.m. Monday. A dust storm reduced visibility to zero on I-84 in that area, ISP reported.
Four commercial vehicles and four cars were involved and “multiple people were transported to local hospitals,” according to the release.
The crash left at least one person dead, but ISP hasn’t specified how many people were killed in the crash. ISP also hasn’t released the names of those involved or the specific make of vehicles involved.
I-84 was blocked overnight and all lanes of travel reopened by 8 a.m.
