Boise chamber creates new food, ag advisory board

The new advisory board is an initiative that came out of the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce’s three-day leadership retreat.

The Food & Agricultural Industry Advisory Board will provide business leaders with a better way to collaborate and make recommendations to senior chamber leaders.

The board will represent food producers, processors, growers, grocers, retailers, restaurants, breweries, wineries, commissions, educational institutions, nonprofits and others. It will provide eduational opportunities to chamber members and the community.

Tracy Hitchcock, CEO of Create Common Good, was named board chairwoman. Hitchcock has more than 20 years of experience in the food industry, including a long stint at J.R. Simplot Co.
