Boise students earn all-expenses-paid trip to Bogus Basin
More than 400 students in the Boise School District are getting a special reward this week. They’ll hit the slopes Monday and Tuesday for a free ski day at Bogus, complete with equipment rentals, lessons, lunch and more.
The students are all part of the district’s AVID program, a program that targets students in the academic middle who want to go to college. They earned the trip by reaching certain grade point average and attendance benchmarks.
The trip is part of an ongoing partnership between Bogus Basin and the Boise School District. This marks the third season that students have made the ski trip. About 1,000 students have participated.
