Drivers urged to watch for migrating wildlife along I-84 near Mountain Home
Motorists should be on the lookout for elk and deer that are migrating near Interstate 84 in the Mountain Home area , the Idaho Transportation Department said in a news release.
Heavy snow in higher elevations has contributed to the movement of wildlife in southwest Idaho along several roadways, including I-84 between mileposts 77 and 104, according to an ITD news release.
Idaho Fish and Game spokesman Mike Keckler said it is unclear how long this migration pattern will continue this winter.
“Drivers are encouraged to pay attention and be alert, particularly at dawn and dusk when wildlife may be on the move,” Keckler said.
