Canyon County sheriff: Caldwell driver who crashed into school bus cited; no one injured
A passenger car slid through a stop sign at an intersection and collided with a school bus near Caldwell Monday morning, according to the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office.
There were 27 students on the bus at the time of the collision. No one was injured in the crash, the sheriff’s office reports.
The collision occurred at 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Homedale and Farmway roads.
Sheriff’s investigators say a silver passenger car was traveling west on Homedale Road, slid into the intersection and struck the northbound bus.
Brian Faulks, 55, was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
Officials remind the public of the hazards of driving on wet pavement. They said substances on the road can mix with water and contribute to hydroplaning.
