Soroptimist wish list update: seniors and foster kids still need donations

With the Dec. 11 deadline approaching, the Soroptimists are still looking for donations to fulfill the Christmas wishes of local seniors and kids in foster care.

The Soroptimists need 184 gifts for foster children, including several toys and gift cards, a bike with training wheels for 2-year-old Paul (item 231 on the wish list), a bike for 13-yr-old Rogelio (item 253), a skateboard for 12-year-old Trish (item 181), and several sets of helmets and pads.

Twenty-four seniors still need gifts, mostly clothing.

The Soroptimists also welcome financial contributions to buy items that are not provided through donations.

To donate and find a list of drop-off sites for gifts, visit the Soroptimist International of Boise’s website soroptimistboise.org/giftnew. The deadline to deliver new, unwrapped gifts is Dec. 11.
