Lifts and slopes were busy Friday at Bogus Basin as the ski resort held a limited opening, its first on Thanksgiving weekend for several years.

Hundreds of skiers turned out for the occasion. The Coach and Deer Point lifts are open, as well as some Nordic trails.

Through November the mountain has gotten about 25 inches of snow. Last year Bogus didn’t open until Dec. 19.

Bogus will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, with hours limited to weekends until more snow falls. Adult ticket prices are running at a reduced rate of $35 for a day pass, with children under 12 getting in for $20, according to a news release.

Check out this video for a sampling of the fun.
