Stove fires displace residents at Mountain Home seniors housing complex
Two fires were reported at Sunset Manor Apartments in Mountain Home on Thanksgiving Day, KBOI-TV, Channel 2 reports.
Mark Moore of the Mountain Home Fire Department told KBOI-TV the first fire was around 1:30 p.m. Thursday and was quickly extinguished.
The second fire was reported at 6:40 p.m. and caught the roof on fire, spreading to a several apartments, Moore said. Four apartments were damaged by water, smoke and flames, and all four residents were displaced, KBOI-TV reports.
The fire department reports the two fires were connected and originated on stoves, KBOI-TV said.
