What’s open or closed for Thanksgiving

▪  Schools are closed.

▪  All county, state and federal offices will be closed Thursday. Some county and city offices will be closed Friday; check your local office.

▪  All local libraries will be closed. Call your local branch for Friday hours.

▪  Allied Waste in Ada and Canyon counties, Sanitary Services in Meridian, J & M Sanitation Service in Kuna and Benjamin’s Rural Disposal in rural Canyon County will not operate Thursday; trash collection will be delayed by one day the rest of the week.

▪  ValleyRide city buses will not run on Thursday.

▪  Post offices will be closed; no mail, except express mail, will be delivered.

▪  Some malls and stores will be open. Call stores for hours.

▪  All state liquor stores will be closed.

▪  Some supermarkets will be open Thursday; hours may be limited. Check with your store.

▪  Banks will be closed.
