Two Downtown Boise streets to be converted to two-way traffic
Downtown Boise drivers, you need to know this: 13th Street from Main to State streets, and 14th Street from Front to State streets will become two-way streets starting Wednesday morning.
Ada County Highway District crews will close these portions of 13th and 14th streets Tuesday night from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. to convert streets from one-way to two-way. Flaggers will allow east/west traffic through the intersections.
Information boards have been in place alerting motorists to the traffic pattern change. Motorists should still use caution while everyone is adjusting to the new changes.
These roadway conversions are part of the Downtown Boise Implementation Plan, a collaborative effort of many local agencies in an effort to bring transportation improvements to the core of Downtown Boise.
