Detectives are “conducting an investigation” on a populated section of the Boise River Greenbelt, according to the Boise Police Department.

Those headed down the Greenbelt between Pioneer Pathway and 11th Street should avoid the area while “detectives investigate and work to clear the scene,” the agency said in a Monday Facebook post. That section of pathway is expected to be closed for several hours.

It’s unclear what caused the closure. The Idaho Statesman has reached out for additional information.
