Here’s when local grocery stores will be open on Monday, May 25, and which chains will close in observance of Memorial Day:
- Albertsons: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., some stores stay open later.
- Boise Co-op Markets: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Coscto Wholesale: Closed
- Fred Meyer: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., some stores stay open later.
- Grocery Outlet: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., some stores open until 10 p.m.
- Natural Grocers: Closed
- Target: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Trader Joe’s: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. or 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. depending on location
- Walmart: 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Whole Foods: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Will Boise Towne Square be open on Memorial Day
Boise Towne Square shopping center will be open for its regular weekday hours of 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
However, individual retailers and restaurants may adjust their hours on the holiday, according to the mall’s website.
What will be closed for Memorial Day?
Local, state and federal government agencies including the U.S. Postal Service and Idaho Division of Motor Vehicles will close Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day.
So will most banks.
Major shipping companies will take the day off as well, including FedEx and UPS.
