Whether you’re waiting until the last minute or you’ve already made plans, here are some of the romantic outings awaiting you and your beloved in Boise.
What are the most romantic restaurants in Boise?
Hoping to treat your date to an intimate dining experience? If you haven’t booked a reservation yet, you’re mostly out of luck.
As of Tuesday, Feb. 3, some of Boise’s most romantic restaurants still had some availability.
According to travel website Tripadvisor, these are the 10 most romantic restaurants in Boise:

What date night activities can I plan in Boise?
If you’re looking for dinner and a show, Boise has a few all-in-one stops for you and your Valentine.
You can find “an evening of romance and fine dining” at The Bishops’ House at 2420 Old Penitentiary Road, which is offering a Valentine’s Dinner on Friday, Feb. 13, and Saturday, Feb. 14.
The event will be catered by Life’s Kitchen with entertainment provided by Michelle Eastman. Tickets cost $50 a person for a four-course meal, entertainment and beverages.
Sweep your significant other off of their feet at the Records and Roses Ball, a vintage-inspired ball on Valentine’s Day evening at the Riverside Hotel at 2900 West Chinden Blvd.
According to the hotel website, dinner and dancing cost $189 for two people. However, tickets for just the ball are $35 per person.
Want to take a literary approach? Grab a ticket for the Romancing the Pen event at the Old Idaho Penitentiary at 2445 Old Penitentiary Road on Saturday, Feb. 14.
“Snuggle up with your Valentine and find the true meaning of ‘ball and chain,’ with special exhibits on love stories and love letters from the Idaho State Penitentiary,” the event listing said.
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with painting, pottery
For couples who love to bring their memories home with them, there are plenty of options to choose from.
Dawson Taylor Coffee Roasters, 219 North Eighth St. in Boise, is hosting an all-ages heart themed paint-and-sip this Valentine’s Day, according to Eventbrite. The event with be instructed by Kylyn Christy.
Tickets cost $45 a person and include a large drink, paint supplies, guided instruction and “a finished painting to proudly take home.”
Clay Collective, 2418 West Main St. in Boise, will host beginner-friendly ceramics classes from Wednesday, Feb. 11, through Sunday Feb. 15.
The event costs $120 per couple with the option to “add a Polaroid and local flowers for $25,” according to the Clay Collective website.
