A power outage that impacted thousands of customers in Southeast and East Boise on Saturday could continue for the next several hours.

The outage is affecting more than 4,000 customers, said Julie Rosandick, media specialist with Idaho Power.

The outage started just after 2:45 p.m. Saturday and was caused by a “line interference,” she said.

Idaho Power expects power to be restored to this area around 8 p.m. Saturday. Rosandick said no more information is known at this time.

Idaho Power is encouraging customers to keep checking the outage map, and to sign up for outage alerts for more information.
