Police find Boise woman who went missing on Cascade-area Blue Lake Trail hike

Authorities searched for and later found a Boise woman who had not been seen for two days after she went to hike a popular trail near Cascade with her dog.

Cheyenne De La Rosa, 28, was hiking Blue Lake Trail near Cascade in Valley County on Tuesday. The Valley County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Thursday that deputies were searching for De La Rosa in the area. Her vehicle was found at the trailhead.

Recent photos of De La Rosa showed her with pink hair and piercings in her nostril and septum. Her dog, Kaia, is white with brown spots.

In a post on Facebook, the Valley County Sheriff’s Office said De La Rosa posted a photo of herself near a waterfall, which may be at Blue Lake. Another hiker reported seeing De La Rosa on the trail at around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Sheriff’s Office later updated the Facebook post, saying De La Rosa and her dog were found safe.
