Motorcyclist dies in collision with truck near Hilltop Station on Idaho 21

A motorcyclist died following a collision with a truck on Idaho 21 on Saturday morning, according to a news release from Idaho State Police.

Sean Painter, 49, of Idaho City was headed southbound on Idaho 21 near Hilltop Station shortly before 10 a.m. when he struck the front of a Toyota Tacoma truck that was turning left into the Hilltop Station parking lot. The truck, driven by 48-year-old Patrick McGregor, of Boise, was also hauling a boat.

Painter, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, died at the scene, officials said. McGregor was not injured.
