Coroner identifies 54-year-old man killed in Friday fire on the Boise Bench
The Ada County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified a 54-year-old man who was killed in a Friday night fire on the Boise Bench.
According to a news release from the coroner’s office, Henry Lloyd Loader died of smoke inhalation and thermal injuries due to a fire. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the fire shortly after 10 p.m.
The fire occurred around 7:45 Friday night at a motor home on the 2100 block of Allumbaugh Street, according to a Boise Fire Department news release.
“Crews immediately attempted a rescue in the doorway of the fully involved structure,” the fire department release said. “The victim was not within reach of the doorway. A hose line was quickly deployed allowing firefighters to gain entry. The occupant was found deceased in the rear of the motorhome.”
Neighbors had attempted to put out the fire with a garden hose, Boise Fire officials said. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
