Coroner IDs 78-year-old woman killed in Friday crash on Ten Mile Road
The Ada County Coroner’s Office in a press release on Monday identified a 78-year-old woman who was killed in a Meridian car crash on Friday.
According to the release, Sally Ann Weiskircher died of blunt force trauma injuries sustained in the accident, which occurred at Ten Mile Road and Cherry Lane around 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 26. Weiskircher died nearly six hours later at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.
On Friday, KTVB reported that “the driver of a pickup headed westbound on Cherry Lane turned south onto Ten Mile just before” it collided with a car. It wasn’t immediately clear how the crash happened or who may have been at fault. The TV station also reported that the driver of the car, a 55-year-old man, was in critical condition Friday with several broken bones.
