A Boise man died in a Saturday morning crash on an Oregon highway after he reportedly crossed the center line on his motorcycle, hitting two other vehicles, Oregon State Police said.

Gregory D. Gummere, 64, was riding a 2015 Triumph motorcycle westbound on Oregon 22 when, “for unknown reasons,” he crossed the center line, OSP said in a press release. Gummere clipped a 1996 Plymouth minivan headed eastbound, then hit a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV head-on.

Gummere died of his injuries at the scene, OSP said. Officials did not say whether he wore a helmet when the crash occurred.

No drivers or passengers in the other vehicles were injured. The crash closed the highway for about five hours.
