A Caldwell woman was arrested early Saturday morning on four charges, including aggravated battery, after allegedly shooting another woman.
Arlette Tineza, 19, was charged with aggravated battery, possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Caldwell police were called to a residence on the 400 block of Joliet Street at around 1 a.m. after receiving a report of a woman being shot. Officers found the 24-year-old victim, who was then transported to Saint Alphonsus Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect fled before officers arrived, police said.
Detectives received information on Tineza’s whereabouts and found her in a residence on the 500 block of Joliet Street. She was still in possession of the gun, police said. Authorities believe the shooting was an isolated incident.
