Two men — in unrelated incidents — tried to enter North Junior High Monday
A man who entered North Junior High School’s cafeteria at about 7 a.m. today before school started, according to an email from the Boise School District that was sent to parents.
Police said the adult male was acting strangely and was taken to a medical facility for evaluation. No further information was available on that instance at this time.
In an unrelated incident, a second person tried to enter the junior high about 10 minutes later and was turned away by a North staff member.
That person left the scene and was later found entering nearby Longfellow Elementary School at 7:58 a.m. wanting to hand out flyers.
As a precaution, students at Washington, Highlands, Lowell, Longfellow and Roosevelt elementary schools were brought into the building early. Boise High School was also notified.
Police found that person and explained that he needed Boise School District approval to pass out information at schools.
