A former Bishop Kelly football star goes viral after T-Rex sweater choice
A former Bishop Kelly football star is making a name for himself on the college football sidelines. He has a stellar sense of style to thank for that.
Kyle Cefalo, who started at quarterback for the Knights in 2006, is in his first year as the inside wide receivers coach at Arkansas State University. The Red Wolves played in front of a national audience Saturday in the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl. Despite his team losing to Middle Tennessee State 35-30, Cefalo caught the eyes of America because of his ugly Christmas sweater.
Is there really an Arkansas State staffer on the sideline in a Christmas sweater? They might be the greatest thing in bowl history.

While the rest of the coaching staff donned black and red official team apparel, Cefalo, who served as a recruiting intern at Boise State in 2013, wore a bright green sweater with a Santa-inspired T-Rex on it. The internet took notice.

Cefalo also wore a Christmas sweater for the 2015 New Orleans Bowl while serving as a graduate assistant at Arkansas State, according to AL.com. That sweater featured the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The sweater, which sells for $15 at Wal-Mart, is out of stock online.
After finishing his career at Bishop Kelly, Cefalo was a member of the Oregon State baseball team in 2007. After an arm injury, he walked-on to the Colorado football team as a wide receiver in 2009 and caught 16 passes in his career. He was an Arkansas State graduate assistant from 2013-15 and served as a graduate assistant at Maryland in 2016.
