A computer maintenance tech for the West Ada School District was arrested Wednesday for alleged sexual exploitation of a child.
Charles V. Gonzales, 55, of Nampa, was arrested after an investigation by the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children unit, the Office of the Attorney General announced in a news release. Gonzales worked at Sawtooth Middle School, Hunter Elementary School and Prospect Elementary School, West Ada School District spokesman Eric Exline told the Idaho Statesman.
Investigators obtained a search warrant and searched Gonzales’ residence Wednesday, leading to the arrest. He is being held at the Canyon County Jail.
The Nampa and Caldwell police departments and the Canyon County Prosecutor’s Office were also involved in the investigation.

Specifics of the charges are not known at this time, though Exline said Gonzales’ actions were “not related to his work environment” to his knowledge.
