An Indianapolis man was sentenced to seven years in prison and five years of supervised release for possession of child pornography of a 14-year-old Nampa student, U.S. Attorney Bart Davis said Tuesday.
Mark Eugene Timperley, 21, admitted to being in an online relationship with the Nampa student in February. A school resource officer with the Nampa Police Department had received information about the relationship and that Timperley was planning to travel to Idaho to live with the student. Police found text messages requesting sexually explicit images on the victim’s phone.
Police found Timperley at the Boise Greyhound station, where he admitted to being in an online relationship with a 14-year-old and that he had requested explicit images from the victim. Police seized Timperley’s cellphone and found approximately 46 explicit images of the student.
Timperley is also required to register as a sex offender.
