Nampa man sentenced to 40 years in prison for pair of felony sex crimes
Quentin Nava, 39, of Nampa, was given a unified sentence of 40 years for felony crimes of lewd conduct with a child under 16 and sexual abuse of a minor under 16, Canyon County Prosecutor Bryan Taylor said Tuesday.
Nava, a registered sex offender, was arrested on a felony warrant in November 2016 after an investigation revealed he inappropriately touched a pair of pre-teen girls while he was a guest at a Nampa residence. He was found guilty of both charges in May and will be eligible for parole after 18 years. He must also pay $10,000 in civil penalties.
Nava will serve 18 years fixed in prison with another 22 years indeterminate for the lewd conduct charge and 18 years fixed with an additional seven indeterminate for the sexual abuse charge. The sentences will run concurrently.
