Plan on using the Connector this weekend? Make sure you know what ramps are closed
If you plan on traveling into Boise late night Friday and Saturday from Interstate 84, plan your route.
The Franklin Road off-ramp on westbound Interstate 84 that goes to the Connector and the Cole Road on-ramp to the Connector will close from 10 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday and from 10 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday for repavement. The roads will be open for use outside of those hours.
There will be a well-marked detour at the Cole Road off-ramp on westbound I-84.
“We encourage folks to plan ahead,” the Idaho Transportation Department’s Jennifer Gonzalez said.
The ramp closures are part of a larger repaving project. Construction on I-84 between the Five Mile Road overpass and Orchard Street interchange will continue through the fall, and work on the Connector to the eastbound I-84 flyover; the I-84 Eagle Road Interchange; and the I-84 Maple Grove overpass most likely will be completed by Sept. 23.
Weeknight construction will take place from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
