A Boise family has been forced to leave their home after an overnight fire left the residence with serious smoke damage, according to a series of tweets posted by Boise Fire Department early Sunday.
Fire officials said a quick knockdown kept the fire from spreading from the garage, where it originated, to the main structure of the house. However, “extensive smoke damage” in the residence has left the family displaced, tweets said.
It wasn’t immediately clear what time the fire started, but tweets indicate it occurred late Saturday or in the early morning hours of Sunday. The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
