Sen. Crapo donates books to Payette Library
U.S. Sen. Mike Crapo donated 100 books from the Library of Congress to the Payette Library on Thursday.
The books come as the library has been seeking donations because last winter’s snowfall consumed the library’s budget for book purchases.
Snow removal costs reaching into the thousands of dollars caused the library to shift funds normally used for book purchasing, according to a news release from Crapo’s office. The books from the Library of Congress are donated by publishers around the country for reuse to schools, libraries and other entities.
