Idaho adds more than 2,000 COVID-19 cases, 25 deaths through weekend, Monday

Idaho health officials reported more than 2,000 new COVID-19 cases and 25 new deaths related to the illness since Friday, according to Department of Health and Welfare data.

Officials reported deaths in the following counties: Ada (4 new, 756 total), Bannock (4 new, 175 total), Bingham (1 new, 113 total), Bonneville (2 new, 212 total), Boundary (1 new, 31 total), Canyon (3 new, 494 total), Gem (1 new, 57 total), Idaho (1 new, 33 total), Kootenai (5 new, 377 total), Lemhi (1 new, 18 total), Lewis (1 new, 20 total), Nez Perce (1 new, 94 total).

To date, Idaho has reported 3,428 deaths related to COVID-19.

IDHW also reported 2,056 new COVID cases over the weekend and on Monday. More than one-quarter of those cases (529) were in Ada County. That brings Idaho’s total COVID cases to 286,332 since March of 2020.
