4 more Idahoans die of coronavirus, including the second death of person in their 30s
Four more Idahoans were reported dead due to COVID-19 on Tuesday, including one person in her 30s. The deaths were in Bonneville, Bingham, Kootenai and Ada counties.
Eastern Idaho Public Health reported the death of a woman in her 30s in Bonneville County due to the coronavirus. That is the second death of an Idahoan in their 30s from the virus.
The death in Bingham County was a man in his 60s, according to Southeastern Idaho Public Health.
The new deaths brought the statewide death toll to 390. One previously reported death was removed from the total by EIPH because of a data error.
With Tuesday’s 263 new cases confirmed, a total of 31,809 people have contracted the virus in Idaho.
Ada County reported 40 new cases Tuesday, according to Boise-based Central District Health. That brings the countywide total to 10,867 confirmed cases.
Also on Tuesday, Central District Health dropped the Boise, West Ada and Kuna school districts into the yellow category of COVID-19’s community spread.
Neighboring Canyon County reported 29 new cases Tuesday, according to Southwest District Health. That brings the countywide total to 7,109 confirmed cases.
There are an additional 2,538 probable cases statewide (42 new). Health and Welfare estimated Tuesday that of those infected, 16,956 people are presumed recovered.

More coronavirus cases in school
Three more Treasure Valley schools have found COVID-19 cases in their buildings, the Idaho Statesman learned through public records requests.
Wilder Elementary and Wilder Middle/High School each had one coronavirus case, Wilder Superintendent Jeff Dillon confirmed to the Idaho Statesman.
Homedale High School also had one confirmed case. Homedale Superintendent Rob Sauer said the individual has since been cleared to return to school.

Overall hospitalizations: Health and Welfare reports that there have been 1,502 hospitalizations of people with COVID-19, 399 admissions to the ICU and 2,234 health care workers infected. Hospital and health care numbers are based on cases with completed investigations into contacts, not the full number of positives.
St. Luke’s Health System: As of Sept. 7, the health system was reporting 32 patients in its hospitals with confirmed COVID-19, out of 391 patients overall. At the Nampa hospital, nine out of 49 patients had the coronavirus, or 16%. The Meridian hospital had 12 patients (13% of all hospitalized) with COVID-19, and the Boise hospital had five patients (3% of all hospitalized) with COVID-19. The health system reported a 14-day coronavirus test positivity rate of 7%.
Saint Alphonsus Health System: As of Sept. 7, the health system was reporting 32 patients in its hospitals with confirmed COVID-19, out of 293 patients overall. About 11.1% of its patients in Canyon County had COVID-19, and about 6.6% of its patients in Ada County had COVID-19. The health system reported a 14-day coronavirus test positivity rate of 14.5%.
Boise School District: The district says the following schools have reported confirmed COVID-19 cases among students or staff since Aug. 17: Adams Elementary (2 cases), Boise Online School (1), Borah High (2), Hillcrest Elementary (1), Maple Grove Elementary (1), Roosevelt Elementary (1) and West Junior High (1).
Testing totals: At the end of the day Tuesday, Health and Welfare reported that 267,996 tests had been completed statewide. About 11.9% of those have been positive for COVID-19.

Counties with community spread: All counties but Adams, Butte, Camas and Franklin have been announced to have community spread.
