Idaho reports daily record 13 new coronavirus deaths; long-term care facilities hit hard
Over the past five days, 45 Idaho residents have lost their lives to the coronavirus, including a single-day record 13 individuals on Friday.
The state’s death toll from COVID-19 now sits at 193, with a case fatality rate of 0.93%. According to the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, at least 106 of those deaths have come from long-term care facilities.
Ada County reported six new deaths for a total of 62, Canyon County added three deaths (37 total), and Kootenai, Twin Falls, Bonneville and Owyhee counties announced one death apiece.
